Subject: Promotional activity

Dear Colleagues,

This is to give you all some advance warning of a number of promotional drives that w[a-z] [a-z]e planning over the summer. I[a-z] [a-z] going to take a lot of co-operation to ensure that they all run smoothly, so please try to keep track of everything that will be going on.

New ‘Trailblazer’ footwear

Our new line of footwear, called ‘Trailblazer’, is set to launch in June but there will be a large promotional effort starting a few weeks beforehand. Our aim is to make Trailblazers the must-have items of the summer. Posters introducing the product concept to customers will start to go up in stores in May, and a high-profile advertising campaign will start shortly after that. Staff will also be issued with Trailblazer T-shirts which everyone will be expected to wear during the promotional campaign.

The adverts will also invite customers to place pre-orders for Trailblazer products. They will be able to do so by paying at the counter and filling in a form with all their personal details. The goods will then be delivered directly to their homes. Customers who place orders in advance will receive a 10% discount; there will be no delivery charge.

Other promotions

Several other promotional offers will be running throughout the summer. These will largely be aimed at offering high-value deals on older product lines. So please be aware that a lot of products will be retailing at lower prices from the end of May. We will also be offering product bundles, with some product lines becoming available at either two for the price of one or three for the price of two.

Over-time promotional work

There are also opportunities for staff to work over-time doing a whole range of promotional activity centred around the Trailblazer campaign. There are options both to work on week-day evenings and at weekends. Payment would be in line with your current salary.
